Approach & Rates

I work as a mindful and active listener who uses curiosity and thoughtfulness to explore your emotional patterns (of strength and difficulty). My emphasis is on attachment and psychodynamic theories and I often weave in experiential and mindfulness techniques.

Mostly I see problematic behaviors not as an illness, but as an expression of anxiety, hurt, or loss.

I have expertise with a broad array of issues including anxiety, relationship challenges, depression and feeling stuck, the meaning of midlife crisis, body image issues, and addictive behaviors.

In working with couples, I help develop differentiation (so that each partner may recognize and own their part), and use Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (to assist reconnection), and John Gottman’s research (to create effective communication).

I work with individuals and couples.
